I was always excited to see the series "24" and while in US, I got a chance to catch all the 8 seasons. For the uninitiated, 24 is a tele-series about Jack Bauer, a Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) special officer. It can be understood as to be equivalent to our ATS unit. It revolves around his friends at CTU, family and his work at CTU. After seeing a few seasons back to back, the series kind of grows onto you and you can very well predict the next turn of events, though the writers of the series do a good job of introducing a whole lot of twists and turns,but eventually you do know that like any true bollywood story, the hero always wins.. :) Below is just a compilation of the observations I made about the series. Precisely 24 in number ;) Please take it with a pinch of salt...or whatever your favorite poison is....
1. Jack bauer always pants...wonder if they take him off the treadmill directly to deliver his dialogues.
2. "you have to trust me on this please"
3. They manage cross referencing any amount of people in a ridiculously short amount of time
4. CTU can connect to any computer anywhere from anywhere ... I take more time to connect to my vpn
5. Jack bauer is the only agent that everyone wants...rest of the force (CIA, FBI, Marines etc) were just not worth anything
6. Everything happens when the president visits LA.. too much of a coincidence
7. Chloe has the weirdest expressions..wonder how is she still on air and has done the most number of episodes besides Jack.
8. Every girl in CTU or outside CTU goes out of her way to do something for Jack.
9. Every one trusts Jack implicitly .. however they don't waste time doubting their presidents (season 5 for ref)
10. Jack is the only man on the field with the correct ideas and guesses...wonder what the hell are the others doing.
12. A cat has nine lives... a season of 24 has 24 episodes... requiring at least 2 cats to be sacrificed for Jack.
13. Whatever Jack is doing is always the only option.
14. They are always running out of time and yet manage to do things just in time.
15. Without fail they find out the name of a person who is the next one to do something....just before he/she does something.
16. Presidential immunity ....what an abuse and overuse...do i need to say anything here :|
17. Jack can fly a helicopter, a plane ... almost anything...and can get out of any handcuffs from anywhere...
any which ways... he is Houdini and the Wright brothers put together.
18. The president is never sure of what to do.. had it not been for the chief of staff or Jack ..then only God bless America :D
19. The President would rather rely on Jack's assessment done in 5 minutes than on his intelligence agencies work done over years.
20. Nobody can feed him false information, his filters are stronger than what Google could ever have.
21. Everyone is involved in interoffice romances...wonder why my field is so dry?
22. Everyone associated with the bombing is somehow related to the people in CTU only.
