All my life, I could never fit in a crowd and believe me I
was happy about it. No useless chatter and no usual nonsense. I didn’t have to
discuss the next brain wrecking twist in Big Boss or the how the next character
in some soap would deceive the next character. I am sure none of us likes to be
boxed in a pigeon hole. But are we truly away from it. Apparently not!
With digitization and background analytics forming some
decision about your life with every keystroke you press, pigeon-holing is
really difficult to avoid and escape. I rarely download games on my android
phone, but I like puzzles and crosswords. Recently I was not in a mood to be
challenged and wanted something mundane to refocus (more on this technique in
another blog). So, I went to search for a simple game, requiring minimal mind
power. I couldn’t come across a single game in my first search around – reason –
Google assumed I would never want anything else and kept on showing the same type
of games, and on my part I didn’t know exactly what would be out there that wasn’t
as challenging. After 20 minutes, I downloaded a solitaire game.
I think, we have to learn to escape from this over analysis
of things, done by Google or others or us. We have to just let it be and
explore and venture out. Sometimes tread on paths that are not so known. Be
unique, break the mould and challenge the norms. Do I really want Google or
some analytics engine controlling every aspect of my life, from my sleeping
patterns to my eating habits… not really. I would rather let LIFE happen and
surprise me. I would be happy in listening to an old random song played on a
radio that reminds me of something sweet in the past, rather than some
algorithm predicting the type of music I will enjoy.
I spent the first 15 years of my life escaping the clutches
of the society and going to social gatherings and faking a smile. I might have
to fight the next few with an algorithm… But I am up for it. Come on. Throw me
the best you have and I will still win.
I am unique
So are you and everyone else
Don’t fall for the trap… have the courage to get lost.

Feel free and fly. Be in a crowd that you like. M sure there are handful of them. Most important is never let anyone kill the energy and fun in us
